Message Routing Service
Message routing service receives messages and routes to
appropriate destinations. Incoming messages are routed to
local message storage, in case of single node system, or
to message storage services on other nodes in the cluster,
or at a remote branch. Outgoing messages are delivered efficiently
to other sites. NextMessage™ message routing service
delivers messages via the most optimum path.
Backed by high-bandwidth I/O hardware of the NextMessage™
appliance server and the message-optimized operating system
-- QuasarOS OS, NextMessage™ message routing
service can deliver up to multiple million messages per
day.
Message routing service is fully compliant with SMTP. The open standard for enterprise mail delivery.
Message Storage Service
Message storage service receives messages from the message
routing service, then organizes and stores them for individual
users. It allows users to retrieve and manage their messages
through most popular desktop email programs or through the
build-in web interface. Message storage service supports
both POP and IMAP protocols.
With extra scalability design, NextMessage™ message
storage service can be configured to manage messages stored
on NextMessage™'s internal storage, or on external
SAN based storage. Utilizing storage partition technology,
many message storage service instances can form a cluster,
allowing storage of virtually unlimited sizes.
